A bakery has a process water treatment station consisting of one Single stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) unit. In depth water mapping revealed that the RO rejects 25% of the input water, which is being drained. This represented 20% of the overall water used in the company.
Adding a second stage RO unit tremendously decreased the share of drained water, increasing the efficiency of treatment, and reducing the water demand by the company.
